About SG Car Workshop
SG Car Workshop is a directory of car workshops and car services in Singapore, run by Page One Singapore, a web and SEO service for small businesses.
Where the details come from
Every fact on a page comes from the business itself or from public records. If a detail cannot be confirmed, such as a price or opening hours, we leave it out. We do not copy a business's website text, and we do not sell rankings. Where a Google Maps rating is shown, it is Google's, with its date.
How we rank
Only where an estate has at least 8 workshops with 20 or more Google ratings, we rank those by this score: (v / (v + 50)) x the workshop's rating + (50 / (v + 50)) x the estate's average rating, where v is its number of Google ratings. It pulls workshops with fewer ratings toward the average, so a 4.9 from 1,145 ratings can rank above a 5.0 from 59. Everywhere else we show no rank and list workshops A to Z. Paid Featured workshops are shown in their own block and are never part of a ranking.
Homepage order
The homepage shows up to 4 workshops in each of three groups: Featured (paid), marked as such; Verified listings whose details the owner has confirmed; and Basic listings. Inside each group the order is random and changes on every visit. A visitor can instead sort by Top rated (the same score as below, using the average across the whole site, with workshops without a Google rating last) or Nearest (straight-line distance from the visitor's location, which we do not store). This is a display order, not a ranking or a recommendation. The full A to Z list is on the All workshops page.
Basic listings
Basic listings are built from the workshop's public Google Business Profile and, where available, what its customers mention in Google reviews, and link to its Google Maps listing. They are not endorsed by or arranged with the business. They are free and can be removed on request: use Remove my listing. Verified and Premium listings are for businesses that signed up and supplied their own details.
Who we list
Car workshops and car services only: repair and servicing, gearbox, ABS and ECU modules, spray painting and bodywork, batteries, detailing and coating, wraps and PPF, and parts. Car dealers and insurance are not listed.
A note on one listing
SG Garage (aircon repair, unit #01-309) and Edwin Garage (car repair and accident work, unit #01-295) are both owned by the founder of SG Car Workshop. They are in different units in Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2. They appear in the normal A to Z lists with an "Owned by the site's founder" label, are never in the Featured (paid) block, and get no boost in ordering.
